Open Coil is single wire mattress that goes vertically across the mattress, and then the springs are connected with a outer rod edge top and bottom of the mattress and in the middle of the mattress the springs are connected with a helical connector so all the springs are connected which makes it act as one bing spring unit so when one spring moves they all move and it gives you a bouncier feeling
